During this two week course students will focus on developing the skill necessary for competitive success. The course will focus on research skills, current events and potential topic analysis.This course will culminate in a tournament. British Parliamentary Debate & CNDF I is a prerequisite to this course.
Age Range: Grade 6-12
Hours: 2:00-5:00 PM
Skill Level: Intermediate

Session 1, July 11th-22nd (Mon- Fri only)
Session 2, July 25th- August 5th (Mon- Fri only)
Session 3, All 4 weeks, Session 1 & 2, (Mon- Fri only)
Length: 3 hours
Tuition 2 weeks $1200, 4 weeks $2400

Day 1: Argumentation and Assessment – students will be assessed on their current strengths and weaknesses.
Day 2 Perfecting Speeches – students will learn to properly construct their speech and ulill the roles necessary to win.
Day 3: Case Writing – Students will engage in a case writing competitions about current events
Day 4: Polished Performances – students will receive advanced speaking training focused on impact comparison and narration.
Day 5: Practice Tournament
Day 6: World Events and Perspectives – students will engage
Day 7: Framing the Round – students will learn how to properly “frame the debate” for the win.
Day 8: Predicting Responses – students will learn how to analyze the topic from alternative perspectives.
Day 9: Practice Debates
Day 10: Final Session Tournament!
